Brett Jaime
Varsity Head Coach
Brett Jaime will be following in the footsteps of Washington State Baseball Hall of Fame coach Russ Hayden, after coaching the past 8 seasons at Kentlake. During his tenure at Kentlake the Falcons had multiple state berths, captured a league title, played in the State Finals in 2017 and graduated their winningest classes in school history 3 years in a row. Coach Jaime grew up in Covington where he played select baseball and was able to play one season at Kentlake where he was a 1st Team All-League catcher in 2001. He went on to play at The Master’s University in Southern California where he was named an NAIA All-American, setting school records in home runs, RBIs and doubles. Brett is in his 15th year as a teacher, teaches social studies at Tahoma, is the founder of the Jaime Baseball Academy (est. 2006) and currently coaches select baseball. He is married to Laura (16 years of marriage) and has 3 children, Bryce (9), Jaxson (8) and Reagan (5).
Brett’s goal is to help inspire athletes to capture a vision of what they are capable of becoming and pursue the axiom that “Champions Do Extra.” The goal for this year is to establish the Bear Nation culture built upon servant leadership, energy and being obsessed with improvement.
Club Manager

Brian Hartnett
Associate Head Coach
Brian has been an instrumental figure coaching alongside Coach Jaime for the past 9 seasons. Brian pitched in college, helped guide a son through a college pitching career and has trained pitchers for the past 9 years at the high school level. Brian brings a positive energy to the club where he will look to establish and build on his core principles of confidence and keeping it simple for not just the pitchers but the entire club.
Brian’s goal is to help the players be as ready as possible to compete at their best physically and mentally. Beyond that his focus is on helping players to be ready for their years beyond high school in or out of baseball.

Jayke Chavez
Hitting Coach, Outfield Instructor
Jayke Chavez was a standout player at Kentlake, helping lead the team on a State Finals run and earning All-Area honors. Chavez completed his AA degree at Bend Community College where he was a part of their NWAC run in 2018 and currently is a paraeducator at Tahoma. Jayke is a great young man who brings energy, passion, outstanding player communication skills and an obsession with getting better. He will lead hitting instruction this year and also be a pivotal instructor in outfielding.
Jayke seeks to give back to the athletes and teach them the benefits of hard work, a positive mindset, and the willingness to tackle any obstacles in front of them. He also stresses to the athletes that preparation equals separation, and being obsessed with improvement. His goals for this year are to get the young men to believe in themselves and create confidence through hard work and dedication to their craft.
